Holy Year of Hope

While the concept of jubilees can be traced to the Old Testament (see Leviticus 25), in the Catholic Church popes have proclaimed jubilees every 25 or 50 years dating back to 1300. These Jubilee Years have been declared as special years of forgiveness and reconciliation, pilgrimage, and embracing God's mercy. To aid us engage with this Year of Hope, the Archdiocese is encouraging her people to visit the Archdiocese of Baltimore Jubilee Pilgrimage official sites highlighted below.
