Eucharistic Adoration
Eucharistic
Adoration
O Salutaris
O Salutaris Hostia
Quae caeli pandis ostium
Bella premunt hostilia
Da robur, fer auxilium
Uni trinoque Domino
Sit sempiterna gloria
Qui vitam sine termino
Nobis donet in patria
Amen.
O saving Victim, opening wide
The gate of heaven to man below!
Our foes press on from every side;
Thine aid supply, thy strength bestow.
To Thy great name by endless praise,
Immortal Godhead, one in Three;
Oh, grant us endless length of days,
In our true native land with Thee.
Amen.

Prayer for Eucharistic Revival
Lord Jesus, we worship You in the Blessed Sacrament. Bless our work of reviving a true and lasting devotion to You in the Sacrament of Your Body and Blood. Help us bring others to perceive with the eyes of faith, Your Real Presence in the Holy Eucharist. Enlighten the minds of Your people and set our hearts on fire with love for You, O Jesus. Fill us with the desire to receive You often in Holy Communion.
Amen.
You may kneel or sit for the holy hour. Reconciliation will be offered in the confessional.
As the Minister approaches the altar for the incensation, please kneel.
Tantum Ergo
Tantum ergo Sacramentum
Veneremur cernui:
Et antiquum documentum
Novo cedat ritui;
Praestet fides supplementum
Sensuum defectui.
Genitori, Genitoque
Laus et jubilatio,
Salus, honor, virtus quoque
Sit et benedictio:
Procedenti ab utroque
Compar sit laudatio.
Amen.
Down in adoration falling,
Lo! the sacred Host we hail,
Lo! o’er ancient forms departing
Newer rites of grace prevail;
Faith for all defects supplying,
Where the feeble senses fail.
To the everlasting Father,
And the Son Who reigns on high,
With the Holy Spirit proceeding
Forth from each eternally,
Be salvation, honor blessing,
Might and endless majesty.
Amen.

Presider: You have given them bread from heaven.
All: Containing all sweetness within it.
Presider: Let us pray. Lord Jesus Christ, you gave us the Eucharist as the memorial of your suffering and death. May our worship of this sacrament of your body and blood help us to experience the salvation you won for us and the peace of the kingdom where you live with the Father and the Holy Spirit, God forever and ever.
All: Amen.
Please remain kneeling while the minister blesses the congregation with the monstrance.
